# Agnikul Cosmos > Agnikul Cosmos Private Limited is an Indian aerospace manufacturer and commercial launch service provider, founded in 2017 and incubated at the National Centre for Combustion Research and Development (NCCRD), IIT Madras, Chennai. Agnikul builds Agnibaan, a configurable small-lift launch vehicle powered by Agnilet — a single-piece, fully 3D-printed semi-cryogenic rocket engine — and launches it from Dhanush (ALP-01), a mobile launchpad. On 30 May 2024, Agnikul's Agnibaan SOrTeD became the first vehicle to fly from a privately built launchpad in India and the first flight of a single-piece 3D-printed rocket engine. Agnikul sells dedicated (non-rideshare) launches for small satellites, priced per kilogram, with vehicle configuration sized to the customer's payload. Primary customers are smallsat operators (Earth observation, IoT, communications, in-orbit demonstration), research institutions and government agencies. Last verified: 23 July 2026.
